How to Connect to Open, Secured, and Public Networks
Open Networks
To connect to an open Wi-Fi network, simply select it from the list of available networks in your Settings app and tap "Join."
Secured Networks
For secured networks, you will need to enter the network password when prompted. If you don't know the password, you can ask the network administrator for assistance.
Public Networks
Public Wi-Fi networks are typically found in public places such as coffee shops, libraries, and airports. These networks are often unsecured, so it's important to be cautious when using them. Avoid accessing sensitive information or making online purchases while connected to a public Wi-Fi network.
Enabling and Disabling Automatic Wi-Fi Connection
By default, your iPhone will automatically connect to any known Wi-Fi networks within range. However, you can disable this feature if you prefer to manually control when your iPhone connects to Wi-Fi.
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap on Wi-Fi.
- Toggle the "Auto-Join" switch to the off position.
