Boston Celtics Seize 2-0 Series Lead in NBA Finals After Game 2 Victory
Celtics Overcome Struggles to Secure Win
Boston Celtics defeated the Dallas Mavericks 105-98 in Game 2 of the NBA Finals, taking a commanding 2-0 series lead. Despite poor shooting from three-point range and Jayson Tatum's struggles, Boston managed to secure the victory.
The Celtics led by just four points at the end of the third quarter, but they pulled away in the final period, outscoring the Mavericks 36-24. Jaylen Brown led the way for Boston with 27 points, while Derrick White added 19 points, including three crucial three-pointers in the fourth quarter.
The Mavericks were led by Luka Doncic's 26 points, but he was inefficient from the field, shooting just 9-of-24. Jalen Brunson added 14 points for Dallas, but no other player scored in double figures.
Game 3 of the series will be played in Boston on Wednesday night. The Celtics will look to take a 3-0 lead, while the Mavericks will be desperate to get back into the series.
