The Minnesota State Patrol (MSP) is the primary law enforcement agency for the state of Minnesota. We are dedicated to protecting and serving our communities by enforcing traffic laws, responding to emergencies, and investigating crimes.

Qualifications
To become a Minnesota State Patrol Trooper, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have a valid driver's license
- Have no felony convictions
Training and Benefits
New Troopers receive comprehensive training at the State Patrol Academy. Upon graduation, they are assigned to a field training officer for further mentorship and guidance.
